Entry Visa
Travel and entry visas to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
First: air travel
Riyadh is well connected to most major cities in the world through a large number of international airlines operating via King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
Second: passport & entry-visa requirements
1Passports of countries eligible for the e-visa
Tourists from eligible countries may apply online for a tourism visit visa through the e-visa portal before their trip, or upon arrival to Saudi Arabia through the visa-issuance counters in the passport area.
E-visa, visa on arrival and visa via the Kingdom’s missions abroad
- The minimum age of the applicant is 18 years.
- For applicants under the legal age, the guardian must be over 18 years old.
- The passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry to Saudi Arabia.*
- All application fees are non-refundable if the application is rejected.
- Additional stay fee: SAR 100 for each day of stay.
- There are no religious requirements on the applicant.
- Holders of a nationality that has a bilateral agreement with the Kingdom may apply for a visit visa via the e-visa, a visa on arrival at the airport, or through the consulate (United States, United Kingdom, South Korea and Japan).
Documents not required for the visa
- A return ticket.
- Hotel booking — only the residence address is required.
- A printed copy of the visa (an electronic copy is also recommended).
The e-visa is issued in 5–30 minutes in most cases, and visa validity is verified by all airlines before boarding flights to the Kingdom.
* The visa validity may be extended for 6 months after the passport expiry date for US citizens.
- The visa fee is SAR 440, including the basic fee (SAR 300) and medical insurance (SAR 140), excluding VAT.
- Visa validity depends on its type: a single-entry visa is valid for three months, and a multiple-entry visa is valid for one year from the date of issue.
- The maximum stay for a single-entry visa is one month, while a multiple-entry visa allows three months.

2Passports of other countries holding an EU (Schengen), UK or US visa
Holders of these passports may obtain a Saudi entry visa on arrival at one of the Kingdom’s airports, provided they have previously entered one of the countries that granted the visa.
3Passports of countries not eligible for the e-visa
Please complete the Saudi entry-visa form and send it to the conference & exhibition organizing company at forms@cityevents.com.sa, together with a clear copy of your passport.
Please note the following:
- Exhibitors must apply for an entry visa at least 8 weeks before travelling to the Kingdom, bearing in mind that visit-visa procedures take 4 to 5 weeks from submission to receiving the visa.
- The organizing company assists exhibitors in obtaining entry visas to the Kingdom; however, the final decision to grant visas rests with the relevant Saudi authorities, and the organizer bears no responsibility for the rejection of any visa application.
- The exhibition organizers and the executing company — as the party responsible for issuing commercial visas for representatives of foreign exhibiting companies — are legally responsible before the Saudi authorities if a foreign exhibitor delays leaving the Kingdom before the commercial visit visa expires. Illegally remaining after the visa expires makes the exhibitor a violator subject to legal accountability and a fine of up to SAR 10,000.
